Fully-automatic washing machines – Laundry made easy

How would it feel to have waded through the whole week to get to a weekend that is to be spend doing laundry? During both the weekdays and the weekend, you will end up being miserable. So why to carry on with the tedious chore of soaking the clothes and brushing each item of clothing separately, when you can get a washing machine to do the job for you? But don’t that you will be completely freed from the burden of laundry if you are getting a semi-automatic machine. You will still have to take time away from other chores, to set the wash cycle, fill fresh water, drain dirty water and transfer the clothes from the wash to the spin tub. So, if you want to put the clothes in the washing machine and forget about them until the wash cycle is complete, it is better to get a fully-automatic washing machine. This type of washing machine will do both washing and drying automatically without any manual interventions.

When using a fully-automatic machine, all you have to do is to put the clothes in the machine, add detergent in the detergent feeder and set the wash timer. The machine will do the filling of fresh water and the draining of dirty water. After the washing is done, the clothes will be half-dried and you just have to spread them out in the sun to dry them completely.

Most of the fully-automatic machines come with many wash programs that will offer you the flexibility to choose between specific wash cycles according fabric type and the load. Fully-automatic washing machines also offer better wash quality than semi-automatic washing machines as they control the entire washing process, unlike the semi-automatic ones that require manual intervention at some stages. Some models of fully-automatic washing machines also come with built-in heaters for hot wash options.

According to the load type, fully automatic washing machines are of types, top loading and front loading ones.

Top loaders – As the name suggests, the clothes are to be loaded from the top of the machine to a vertically-kept tub. The 2 types of washing system available in top-loading washing machines are agitators and impellers. Agitators have a spindle with fins that turn and move the clothes, while impellers are rotating propellers that create a whirlpool effect to move the clothes.

Front loaders – They have horizontally-kept drums with doors at the front side of the machine. As the rotating drum just sprays water at the clothes while rotating, a front loading washing machine is more water efficient than a top-loading washing machine.
