Buying a Samsung Microwave Oven for the House

So the other day, my 7-year-old nephew created a new superhero - Melted-Man. He put Superman and Spider-Man action figures on a plate and popped them into the microwave oven for a good 15 minutes. The result was obviously a success for my nephew, for me it meant saying goodbye to my smells-of-burnt-plastic microwave that refused to work after what it had been through. Kids, I tell you. Now, since my husband is away on an official trip, I’m stuck with the job of buying a new microwave oven. So I called up my best friend, who own almost every other kitchen appliances out there. After chit-chatting about the latest episode of Two Broke Girls, she suggested Samsung to me. Apparently the one she has is amazing. And I believe her because she makes yummy cakes in it. Who knew that eh? For me, a microwave oven meant reheating leftovers and making instant noodles. Oh well, time to hit the online stores.

Choosing a Samsung Microwave Oven

So the very first thing that I saw during my research was the terms Solo, Convection and Grill. I did a little digging and found that Solo microwave ovens are your everyday microwave ovens. They let you reheat, defrost and cook certain types of food (pasta, noodles and boil eggs). The other two are the big boys. Grill microwave ovens apart from performing all the functions of a solo microwave oven, let you grill food. So yeah, say hello to grilled chicken, kebabs and tikka. The last one is the convection model and it really got me interested. It combines the grill function with the convection function, which means I can brown and crisp the food in the fastest possible time. And these are perfect for baking cakes, muffins and cupcakes.

Some Really Fancy Features

Well, my mind was set on getting a convection. But since I wanted to make a sound investment, I decided to look at the features these Samsung microwave ovens offer.
Tandoor Technology - This feature replicated tandoor-like conditions with a peak temperature of 200 degree Celsius. In housewife terms, it means you can make perfect crispy roti or naan with just a single touch.
Fermentation Function - Oh yes, homemade dough or curd anytime you want. This feature uses advanced fermentation technology to set the right temperature to make healthy curd.
Pre-programmed recipes - You have a wide variety of recipes to choose from with a simple touch of a button. So one day Paneer Bhurji and the other Dum Aloo Kashmiri and so on and so forth.
