Electrolux Refrigerators – Defines Style, Comfort and Convenience

As kids all of us would have opened our fridge doors every now and then to check if there was something to eat. In spite of knowing there will be nothing, we would still continue doing the same. However, the excitement of seeing food in a refrigerator when you are hunger is incomparable. The memories we share with our fridge are innumerable – midnight snacks, ice creams, chocolates, cold drinks and sometimes simply opening it gives us joy. Also, most of us would have even tried to close the fridge door slowly just to see the light turn off. These appliances have a very special place in all our homes as this is where our food is kept.

However, it is very essential to organize the contents in the fridge in a way that it is easy for us to use. Before organizing, it is essential to know the different shelves in a refrigerator. Ideally there are four shelves, excluding the freezer. The first shelve, that is the top most shelf is usually the warmest part of the fridge and it is best suggested to store pre-prepared food like curd, cheese, sauces, paneer and cooked food. Leftovers and cooked food can be stored in sealed containers as they would remain fresh for a longer period. The second compartment is just above the vegetable and fruits shelve. This shelf is the coldest part of the refrigerator and it is ideal to store raw meat, fish and poultry. The third shelf is the fruits and vegetables drawer. This compartment is specially designed for storing fruits and vegetables and is also known as the salad crisper drawer. This shelf comes with humidity control feature which helps in retaining moisture from vegetables like lettuce, cucumber, cauliflower, broccoli, beans, carrots and leafy vegetables. The fourth shelf, the door rack is designed to store eggs, butter, jam, beverages and such. This compartment is exposed to the warm air of the room and the temperature may fluctuate. Ice creams, jellies, puddings and other desserts can be stored in the freezer.
